Welcome to The SC State Cheer Program!
Being a part of the South Carolina’s State University Cheer Program will provide the athlete with many rewarding life-lessons that will enhance your experience as a college student at the South Carolina State University. These lessons include enhancing leadership abilities, communication, confidence, time management, and responsibility. There is a great responsibility of members of the South Carolina State’s Cheer Program in that the cheerleaders and mascot are ambassadors to the University and represent you, University, city and state. Members will uphold the values of the Cheer Program and the South Carolina State University at all times. Once chosen, you will be required to read and agree to the South Carolina State University Cheer Program Handbook and Statement Of Agreement (Signed during Tryouts). The primary focus of the South Carolina State’s Cheer Program is to support ALL of our athletic teams and events. This focus is accomplished by being visible spirit representation at sporting events and community functions in order to raise fan support and enthusiasm. The Cheer Program continues to promote goodness in the community by showing support at various charitable events and promoting education throughout South Carolina’s schools.

As South Carolina State University Cheerleaders we will strive to uplift, support, encourage, and believe in our university and community, possessing the qualities of leadership, dedication, determination, motivation, and loyalty with respect and school spirit.
