I.P. Stanback Museum and Planetarium
The I.P. Stanback Museum and Planetarium is an embodiment of South Carolina State University's commitment to community service, enhancing the appreciation of both the Arts and Sciences in a single facility. The Museum's programs include aesthetic appreciation, historical and didactic information, scientific and technological presentations and encouraging the development of critical thinking and creative skills for its student and adult constituencies.
James E. Clyburn University Transportation Center
The James E. Clyburn University Transportation Center, Southern Rural Transportation Center and National Summer Transportation Institute program constitute SC State’s Transportation Center of Excellence. Through these entities, SC State is meeting today and tomorrow’s transportation needs.

Applied Radiation Sciences Laboratory (ARSL) serves as a principal investigating conduit in the Palmetto State for research and development in nuclear applications, such as nuclear activation analysis, radiochemistry, medical isotope, radiation damage, material sciences, homeland and national security applications.
